Hot Water Infusion

Horopito
NZ Indigenous Pepper

To extract maximum flavour.

Pour boiling hot water onto the Horopito and allow to sit for 30 minutes.

The longer the infusion the more flavoursome it will be.

Ratio : 1 teaspoon Kinaki Wild Herbs to 1 cup of hot water.

Can be taken as a tea
Used as a court bullion (stock) for sauces or dressings.

Kinaki Horopito Wild Herbs are the recommended herbs when following these recipes.

Horpoito was originally taken internally, similar to tea

Horopito has anti fungal properties.

Horopito has a small green leaf with fleks of red.
